Are you exempt from VAT?

Most of our products can be purchased free of VAT if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Home › About › VAT Exemption

Most of the products on our website may be purchased free of VAT (zero rated) provided the person using the products meets the eligibility requirements. For this reason we display both including and excluding VAT prices on products where this applies.

1

Check you qualify

You must have a chronic (long lasting) disabling condition or illness. You do not need to be registered disabled.

2

Choose your product

The product must also qualify for zero rate VAT. The majority of products on this website qualify and are labelled accordingly.

3

Complete a declaration

At checkout or in store, we'll ask you to complete a brief declaration of your illness or condition. It's simple and quick - we'll help.

Who qualifies for VAT exemption?

To qualify for zero rate VAT, the person the product is being purchased for must have a chronic (long lasting) disabling condition or illness. This includes conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and many others.

You do not need to be registered disabled or have an official diagnosis certificate - a signed declaration is all that is required.

The product being purchased must also qualify for zero rate. The majority of the products on this website do qualify and are labelled accordingly. A few products do not qualify and standard rate VAT will be applied at checkout.

Purchasing online? You will be asked to complete a short form at checkout, including a declaration of your illness or condition. We will check it when we receive your order - it only takes a moment. Visiting a store or having a home assessment? We will provide a similar form, help you complete the brief details, and ask you to sign the same declaration.
